Hey friends, another Friday has arrived, and for some this weekend is a BIG weekend. Dunt, dunt, du, duh… SUPER BOWL 50!!! Are you going to smack me if I say I am not super stoked about the SB this year?? I realize this is very un-American of me, but let me explain. I am not a huge fan of either team, and with littles I am constantly chasing them around the living room, trying to keep them from climbing on the end table. This is the season of life I am in right now. I am ALWAYS excited about the food though, who isn’t?? In terms of food, the Super Bowl is better than Christmas. All the yummiest snacks you can fathom all together, one time of the year. I’m in. That’s almost worth chasing the kids around for 4 hours while trying to catch a glimpse of the
Here are some of the funnest ideas I have found on the World Wide Web for Super Bowl 50!
Favorite Oldies, but goodies (the Classics): Outrageous Warm Chicken Nacho Dip. Velveeta Rotel dip is a classic, you can never go wrong bringing it to any group gathering. This just has a little twist to it. It definitely looks like a winner.
Favorite Oldies, but goodies (the Classics): Tortilla Roll-ups. You guys these lil roll-ups look like they would be the underdog at any Super Bowl snack table, but they hold their own quite nicely. We all know someone who brings these to work or family functions, and for good reason, because they are SO good!
Favorite Oldies, but goodies (the Classics): Individual Seven-Layer Dip. This dip is always a hit as well, people love it, and no mess scooping it onto your plate with these cute little individual cups. Win-Win.
Favorite Team Snack: Broncos Popcorn. Favorite Broncos snack. That is all. I will remain unbiased.
Favorite Team Snack: Panthers Popcorn. Favorite Panthers snack. Moving on.
Favorite Healthy-ish snack: Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus. Because if you eat asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, that counts as your veggie intake.
Favorite Healthy-ish Snack: Wedge Salad on a Stick. Don’t these look crunchy, and creamy, and bacon-ey?? Yum!
Favorite Crowd Pleaser: Chili Dogs for a Crowd. Such a good idea. I would have to make my own chili, because I have a weird thing about canned chili. But these would work great for a quick weeknight meal as well… I really like this idea.
Favorite Crowd Pleaser: Cheesy Party Burgers. Just a sec, let me wipe the drool off my keyboard…
Favorite Carb (not that the above lacked carbs, this is just 100% carbs): Homemade soft Pretzel Bites. Maybe these are not such a good idea… they look dangerous. Like so dangerous, they would never make it onto a plate for guests to eat…”sorry honey I dropped them on the floor, the dog ate them”.
Favorite Sweet Indulgence: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Footballs. Because at this point what does it matter if you eat 6, I mean a couple of these.
Favorite Super Bowl, Super Food: Chocolate Covered Strawberry Footballs. Because strawberries and chocolate are both high in antioxidants, this must be good for you, right??? 😉
Hope you all have a great weekend. GO PANTHERS! GO BRONCOS!
