Praise the Lord in song, for he has done excellent things; Let this be known throughout the earth.
Isaiah 12: 5
Happy Friday! Woot, woot! So exciting! Alright, I will calm down. It is a start to what could be a fun weekend. Valentines Day is Sunday…aaah, so romantic. LOL. I know a lot of people aren’t into a day where you are forced to be romantic. But I would have to say I am. Without me even suggesting it, Mr. Mead took the initiative and made us dinner reservations for tonight + it will be a kid less meal = Awesome! For this to happen (in our house) a national holiday has to be involved. I think I will even curl my hair for the occasion. 🙂
Have a blessed weekend, and maybe even if you are not the romantic type, try to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you. I know it always makes me feel warm and fuzzy when people tell me they care.
Enjoy my favorites from around the World Wide Web.
Favorite Valentine’s Sweet: Chocolate Covered Strawberries. I can not even think of Valentine’s Day without thinking about Chocolate covered strawberries, they are perfection in my book. This is a neat page, with several good ideas, plus a video. So you can make your own pretty chocolate covered strawberries (and they not end up looking like a Pinterest fail).
Favorite Raised Garden ideas: A Kitchen Garden. I mean spring is just right around the corner… only 2 months away. OK so maybe it is a tad early for garden fever, but I am starting to get it. I love this garden! You can’t see it very well in this picture, but if you go to the site, it shows they have twinkly lights in their garden, so cool! (I’m done geeking out).
Favorite Garden DIY: River Rock Garden Markers. OK last too early spring idea. But actually these would be good to do now, when there is nothing else you can do in the
dreadful month of February.
Favorite Perfect Cookie: Soft Batch Double Chocolate Chip Cookies. A picture is worth a thousand words. What needs to even be said? These cookies look like perfection. Yum.
Favorite Fashion: Outfits to Wear . I am a wee bit fashion challenged. Just ever so slightly. I have never owned a pair of chucks, but once mother nature decides to release her icy grip on the Midwest (Ok so it’s not that bad), I think I may have to invest in a pair. Doesn’t that look cute with the ankle length jeans?
Favorite Kitchen idea: Kitchen Window. Oh wow guys, I think I am in love. Isn’t that bea-u-ti-ful?? I have always been a fan of big windows in the kitchen. But this, this is heaven. I love the window, but with it being a Bay window, there is a ton of counter space. I would love to put a bunch of potted herbs right there.
Favorite Carb Indulgence: Chicken Bacon Garlic Alfredo Roll Ups. I have never jumped on the Lasangna roll up train. But these, might just push me onto it. Bacon √ Garlic √ Cheese √
Favorite Travel Destination: The Aurora Borealis in Sweden. OK so maaaaybe I don’t have to go all the way to Sweden to see the Northern Lights, but wouldn’t that just be awesome?
Favorite Christian Humor: This was too funny not to share. The answer is below.
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. | Genesis 3:10 And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.”
Favorite Low Carb Meal: Mushroom Asiago Chicken. I made something similar to this, this week (without the flour). It turned out super yummy. I would add this to the normal meal rotation, however Mr. Mead does not like mushrooms. Fail.
