Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.
Proverbs 29: 25
Another Friday has arrived, can I get a Woot, Woot!?! I am a little amped for the weekend, Mr. Mead and I are taking a little weekend trip for a wedding – kidless… This will be the first weekend, we have been without kids since we had our 21 month old. I will have some pictures next week for show and tell. 😉
Take care you all. Enjoy my favorites from the World Wide Web!
Favorite Summer Drink: Perfect Peach Iced Tea. Mr. Mead and I were having a conversation the other day about flavored teas. I am not a fan, due to the fake flavorings. So he asked me to make him some real peach tea. The ever obedient wife I am, found this recipe. I do believe I will give this a try in the next week or so.
Favorite Sanity Keeper: A Simple System that will Keep Your Home Clean. There are several good ideas in this blog post on keeping a clean home, and it incorporates the entire family.
Favorite Savory Dish: Chicken Yakisoba. I grew up on Ramen noodles… they are soooooooo…. good! However, once I arrived to adulthood (last year, I joke, I joke), I ready the ingredient list and realized these should probably not be the center of my diet. Needless to say I have not have Ramen in years…. aghast, I know. That is where this beautiful dish comes into play. Maybe, I can find a homemade Ramen that is almost as tasty as what Maruchan packets, not the Styrofoam box thing. And while we are on this topic, does anyone else pour out 2/3 the water, prior to adding in the packet of seasoning???
Favorite Verse of the Week: I Will Trust in You. Praying is so much… I have fallen off the wagon on my quiet time, and it affects everything, ya know?
Favorite New Sweet: Sister Mary Custard. Because custard yum, and then placed on top of Apple Crumble. Oh, and this is a really fun blog. Go check it out. It is a food based blog about a women who left her career in the broadcast production business to go live in Ireland on a centuries old family farm.
Favorites DIY: DIY Window Boxes. These look super easy, and really classy. P.S. Sorry I got a little carried away with DIY projects this week.
Favorite DIY, Part II: DIY Wood Trim Above Fireplace Mantel. We have the same mantel on our fireplace, as every other home on our block. I would love to add some trim, to class it up a bit.
And lastly, here are few funnies to start your Friday off with a smile. Happy Friday!
