My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.

Here we are, Friday… sigh. There are getting to be a lot of excited
parents kiddos around, due to school being out for most in the next 2-3 weeks. Soon Summer will be in full bloom. Where does time go?
I love this time of the year, all the flowers in bloom, beautiful weather. Last night we ate out on the patio (just pizza), but it was perfect out. Love, love, love it.
Have a great weekend! Enjoy my favorites from the World Wide Web.
Favorite How To: How to Make a Bed. Mr. Mead and I have been married for five years, and we still do not have an adult bed. I am not looking for something this elaborate, however I would like my bed to be a wee bit more cozy and inviting.
Favorite Recipe: Homemade Salad Dressings. I am always trying to decide what type of dressing to make for our salads (of course I am doing this 10 minutes before we are going to sit down and eat). This link has a very good selection on dressing recipes all on one site. Sweet!
Favorite Summer Attire: Casual Summer Dress. I stumbled across this clothing site. They have some cute clothing at a descent price. I love this dress, even if Mr. Mead says the design reminds him of a rug….
Favorite Quick Dinner: Ohmygoshthisissogood, chicken. This looks super simple, but delish! Definitely going to give this one a try in the week night rotation.
Favorite DIY: Outdoor Coffee Table. This is pretty inexpensive cute idea. Instead of buying some ugly plastic outdoor container, this would be perfect to keep outdoor pillows, candles, toys, etc in.
Favorite Quote: C.S. Lewis Quote. C.S. Lewis is da’ bomb!
Favorite Indulgence: Triple Whiskey Cake. The Mead household does not ingest much ETOH (alcohol). However, I LOVE cooking with it, some of my favorite recipes involve spirits; to include Marinara sauce with red wine, and a bread pudding with brandy sauce. It just adds a whole new depth of flavor. Yum.
Favorite Kitchen: Kitchen Inspiration. This is a bachelor’s kitchen, are you kidding me? Oh my how times have changed. I love the colors in this kitchen, with a little bit of industrial feel. This is probably the closest picture I have found of my dream kitchen. Have I mentioned how much I love kitchens???
Favorite Family Idea: Family Audio books. This is such. a. good. idea! I would never in a million years have thought to do this. Even when you are not driving, to have a time when you can listen as a family. In my head this is a whole Norman Rockwell scene, maybe some lemonade outside on the patio listening to an audio book before bedtime, or in the winter around the fireplace with hot chocolate. Who am I fooling, it would not pan out that way, however it would still be a good bonding experience, and conversation piece.
And lastly, some funnies to start your Friday off on the right foot….
Take care friends.
