But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.
1 Timothy 6 : 11
Good mornin’ to all, this beautiful Friday morning! Any big plans for the weekend? Going by the weathermen, it looks like KC has about run out of the unseasonably warm weather we have been having…sigh. It was nice while it lasted.
We are celebrating my (almost) 4 year old’s birthday this weekend. We are having some friends and family over to celebrate with food and b-day presents. I have a feeling this is going to be the last year we are able to get by without a “birthday party”, you know, the ones at arcade type place with 15 kids running around screaming their little cute heads off. Oh my.
Whelp, here are my weekly finds. Hope you have a great weekend!
Favorite Cheesy recipe : Homemade Artisan Style Pizza. I have said it once, and I will say it again, I love King Arthur Flour recipe page. And to be able to make this yumminess from home? Done.
Favorite Quote : God loves you. This quote really made me stop and think, I have never thought of God’s love like this before.
Favorite DIY : Photo Gallery. I love this. I would have never thought of doing this with framed pictures. Wouldn’t this look good hanging behind a couch as well?
Favorite Sweet tooth indulgence: Salted Caramel Layer Cake. I am a chocolate lover, through and through. But every once in a while I try to take a step away from my chocaholic addiction and try other foods. This cake looks like it could help with my remission. Doesn’t it look so gooey and moist (I apologize to those who have a phobia toward the word moist – oh, yea its a thing.)?
DIY Craft : Rustic Yarn Sign. I always have a hard time finding crafts to make, that I feel work well as presents. I over analyze it, never sure if someone would like what I put blood, sweat, and tears in to. But this is definitely cute enough to fit the bill.
Favorite chocolate recipe: Homemade Chocolate-Peanut Butter Fudge Pop-tarts. Being a kid of the 90s, Pop Tarts bring back childhood memories… I’m lookin at you, Brown Sugar Pop-Tarts.
Favorite Life Hack: Perfectly Cooked Bacon. You guys, this is a game changer. I started baking my bacon 5-6 years ago, and I have never looked back. I cook mine at a little hotter temp, but all in all this is how I always cook my bacon. Add a piece of aluminum foil to the bottom of the pan and clean up is a cinch. No more being burnt by popped grease – shudder. No more burnt-stuck-on pan.
Favorite t-shirt: Adventure Awaits T-shirt. This shirt is relatively simple, but so fun. And I love the whole outfit surrounding it too.
Favorite Gardening Hack: Picture Frame Terrarium. I have a sneaking suspicion that this is one of those DIY projects that would end up on a Pinterest Fails page. But it is SO cute! I really want to try making this. I have been wanting to grow some indoor herbs for sometime now, and this would (could possibly) work perfect.
