He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior.
Titus 3: 5-6
Good morning y’all. It’s Black Friday… it has begun… shudder. I have such a love/hate relationship with this season. I love the reason for the season, I love watching my kiddo’s get so excited about what is to come, and I love the kindness for your fellow man than comes out in people this time of year. I hate the cold/wetness (getting icy rain today… ugh), I hate the slower more congested drives home from work, I hate feeling obligated to buy gifts for peoples. But it’s here. So let’s go grab our reindeer antlers and turn up Rockin Around the Christmas Tree and get our jingle on.
Favorite Sneaky Veggie : Green Smoothie. OK, sorry to start off on such a strong note. But let’s be honest, probably not a lot of greens are going to be touching our lips for the next month and a half. This is good guys. Seriously. I trade out Soy milk for Cashew/Almond milk, and I trade out Kale for Spinach.
Favorite Quote: The one who created it. A good reminder for me.
Favorite baking guide: Easiest Method to decorating cookies. Whelp, it’s about that time… start pulling out the baking sheets. I think the 4 year old and I are going to give this a try. Wish us luck. 🙂
Favorite Room : Cozy Living Room: This link is to the website that sells the flooring in this picture. I could not find this exact picture when I went to the website. Normally that would stop me from posting a picture on Friday Favorites. But guys, come on… I LOVE this area. The colors, the fireplace, the doors, the shelves… drool (just needs a different picture over the fireplace).
Favorite Turkey Recipe: Thanksgiving Turkey Gumbo. Need something to do with all those leftovers. Well, here ya go. And bring me a bowl, please.
Favorite Craft: Lighted Burlap Garland. Isn’t this cute??? And it looks super easy = Right up my alley.
Favorite Dessert: Boston Cream Pie. BCP is one of my top five favorite desserts. Spongy cake with Custard filling and Ganache icing. Yum. And as delicious as it looks it is not an overly sweet dessert. Trust me. 🙂
Favorite DIY’s:DIY Christmas Decorations. I will leave you with this, DIY projects that you can do in all that spare time you will have in the next month. LOL. I joke, I joke.
Have a nice weekend!
